Christmas 2007 seems like only yesterday; but those of us at Christmas in Wilkes are already gearing up for the 2008 Christmas Season.
In 2007 Christmas in Wilkes helped 1397 needy children from around Wilkes County. A lot of these children were helped by sponsors. These sponsors chose their “child” from Angel Tags placed on Christmas trees around various local businesses. We have many people from around Wilkes County who are generous enough to help these children have a great Christmas. However, Christmas in Wilkes relies on donations from local businesses and organizations to sponsor the children whose names are not taken from the Angel Trees. We also use the money to purchase “filler gifts” to even out the gifts between siblings.
Those of us at Christmas in Wilkes would like to ask that you include us in your budget for 2008. With corporate sponsorships from the businesses in our area, there could be no limits to how many children in need we are able to serve. Please help a Child’s Christmas wish come true, become a sponsor for Christmas in Wilkes.
